Bad Dog Bread

Best French toast I have ever had, made with brioche served with vanilla bean mascarpone. Chocolate chunk sea salt cookies and a latte. So good. We also bought a lot of bread for my birthday charcuterie. Baguettes were perfect.

A perfect loaf of sourdough. It was amazing fresh. I ended up freezing half and it's still great a week later. I'll be back when my stash runs out.

My friend ordered toast with cream cheese; I ordered toast with butter and honey. It took us a very long time to wait in line, and the workers there seemed like they were struggling (looked short staffed).The bread was very good, but there was way too much honey on my toast, so I had to take some off.Our americanos came in dusty glass mugs. (I guess they don't sell too much coffee)I would definitely give credit for the quality and taste of the bread, but would not recommend if you are looking for somewhere that has experienced servers (especially if you are in a time crunch!).

There is a good reason why this bread often sells out where ever it can be found- It is simply the most delicious authentic artisan baked bread on the North Shore. Devotees drive far and wide to buy it.

Secret garden - Little oasis in a concrete jungle. Sandwich special was tasty 😋 and the bread is amazing. Has a small menu which makes everything real fresh. Give it a try on a sunny day and enjoy.

Fig and walnut sour dough bread! So yummy! Loved the excellent customer service and enthusiasm by the lady who served me and explained the different types. Will be back to try more!

One of the top bakeries in all of Vancouver and we’ve tried a lot (and are very picky as German and French ;))! Love the baguettes, country sourdough and ciabatta in particular! And the brioche buns!

Absolutely delicious Bread, I make a biweekly trip to Bad Dog to stock up, the country loaf and the baguettes are beautiful. Today the baguette didn't make it home as my husband and son couldn't wait and decided to feast on it in the car. You can truly taste the difference, I'm so glad this bakery is around, it reminds me of home.

Bread like not others in Vancouver. Worth the price if you like me come from a place where bread is on the table at every meal.

The best bread in Vancouver. We came from Italy and could not find any good bread which would taste like home. When we found Bad Dog Bread bakery it was such a pleasant surprise and relief. Baguette is evil good.

Good bread; nice pate. Pretentious. Fruit flies on my plate. (Clean under surfaces with hardcore cleaners, staff.) Pasta was undercooked. They kindly took one pasta dish, not both, off the bill. Crowded. No bar or waiting area. We had to walk across the street and have a glass of cheap wine while we waited. Staff was kind but overtired and inexperienced. Wine glass was chipped. Server took away my half full glass and apologized, replacing it with an empty one. Would not return.

This is not your typical bakery. The owner specializes in handcrafted, natural yeast bread with very interesting flavour combinations. It recently opened and I managed to score two loaves - a fougasse and a toasted sesame (and I mean score because they had basically sold out of bread when I got there). They are lovely, chewy and have a good contrast of a soft interior and nice crunchy edge. Even a day later, when most bread has lost that "just-out-of-the-oven" goodness, these ones still manage to fill my kitchen with such an enticing aroma! I'm definitely coming back for more.

Wife and I did a trip out from the Valley to buy some fresh bread and explore the North Shore. We were a bit early and decided to shop in strip mall the before going into the bakery. Did not even make it away from the car before we were abruptly told we could not park there. When we asked were we could park at the shops, no real answer was provided other than another stores spots. Left a sour taste after such an unnecessary response.

1st time today, French baqette was really tasty and the chocolate chip cookies so good. Definitely going back there . Keep up the great work. Small but amazing.

Their bread is awesome. I love the sourdough everything approach. So healthy and filling. I normally buy from my local grocer, Nourish but was passing by and dropped in to their storefront. Very friendly and helpful staff. Keep on baking great bread; I think bread will become the new superfood.

They make such delicous loaves of bread! My favourite thing to order in the morning is a piece of toast (after is has just come out of the oven) and I get it with peanut butter and honey! Highly recommend!

What wonderful, simple, tasty food, everything is fresh and light, and you can tell the love the chef put into the dishes!

Wow! North Vancouver-Marine Drive area finally has an amazing local baker. We went by this morning to check it out, and bought a loaf of country bread (850g) and a chocolate chip cookie. Within the first bite we both said "this is the best bread/cookie we've ever tasted." You can tell the goods are baked with love, care, and attention. This will definitely be our new bakery. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

The most beautiful, fluffy chocolate buns ! Lovely elasticity, moist and excellent dark chocolate. A foodies dream bakery. The gents running he kitchen were shy and busy baking, but stopped to make a great breve as well. Good coffee!

Only for customer service. I‘ve been a long time customer of this bakery and breads are very good and delicious. Sorry, but it is not the first time that I experience the elderly lady at the front is impatient, unfriendly and rude.
